1. General Information on Data Processing

1.1 Purpose of the Privacy Policy
When you contact Alpine Immobilien AG (hereinafter “Alpine,” “we,” or “us”), personal data subject to the Data Protection Act (DSG) and the Data Protection Ordinance (DSV) is generally processed. This data typically includes your name, email address, phone number, and personal information related to contractual relationships with us. In addition, technical data that can be associated with a specific individual is considered personal data (in particular cookies; see below). This Privacy Policy explains the nature, scope, and purpose of our processing of personal data.

1.2 Legal Basis
Our data processing is based on the Data Protection Act and the corresponding implementing regulations. To the extent that we process personal data, we do so exclusively for the following purposes and adhere to the principles of lawfulness, processing in good faith, and transparency.

1.3 Processed Personal Data
The personal data we process may also include special-category personal data as defined by the Data Protection Act (DSG). When processing such data, we take this into account and process it in accordance with legal requirements (e.g., explicit consent, etc.).

1.4 Your Rights
Every individual has the right, pursuant to Art. 25 of the DSG, to request information from us free of charge regarding

whether personal data concerning them is being processed. Starting with the second request for information within a 12-month period, we may

charge a fee to cover costs (up to a maximum of 300 CHF, in accordance with Art. 19(2) of the Data Protection Ordinance (DSV)). Subject to the conditions of Art. 28(1) of the Data Protection Act (DSG), every individual has the right to request that we provide their personal data—which they have disclosed to us—in a commonly used electronic format. Requests for information and disclosure should be directed to: info@alpine-immo.ch. In addition, you have the following rights: the right to have your personal data corrected (Art. 32 of the Data Protection Act), the right to object to processing, the right to erasure, the right to restrict processing (Art. 30(2) DSG), the right to request a note of objection (Art. 32(3)), and the right to have such a note published (Art. 32(4) DSG).

2. Data Processing

2.1 Website Operation
When you visit our website, you transmit your router’s IP address to the website’s server. In the process, additional data from our website visitors is collected, such as the type of device, browser version (if applicable), operating system, technically necessary log data (cookies), and other technical data regarding the website visitors’ devices. This is necessary for the technical operation and display of the website. This data is transmitted to the hosting provider, cyon AG, Brunngässlein 12, 4052 Basel, as our data processor under a data processing agreement.

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Your consent is managed via the “Cookiebot” tool, a service provided by Usercentrics A/S, Havnegade 39, 1058 Copenhagen, Denmark. Cookiebot stores your acceptance or rejection of cookies for 12 months. You can revoke your consent at any time via the cookie settings.

2.2 Google Analytics
In addition, we use Google Analytics on our website, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies that enable an analysis of website usage.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your truncated IP address) is generally transmitted to a Google server and stored there.

We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled.

Data processing is based on your consent, which you can provide via our cookie consent tool.

You may withdraw your consent at any time.

Data transfer to the United States cannot be ruled out. Google relies on the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses for this purpose.

2.3 Contact Form
When you contact us via the website, we collect the personal data you provide through our data processors to process your inquiry. Such personal data from digital contact forms is deleted from our web servers within 3 months. Further communication takes place via email (see below), phone, or in person.

2.4 Sending Information via Email
If you contact us via our general email address, we use the data to process your inquiry. If this results in a contractual relationship, this data is processed within the scope of that contractual relationship. We store our email correspondence in a conversation thread for a period of 2 years from the last email exchange, unless an ongoing business relationship or similar circumstance requires longer retention.

2.5 Rental Process
During the rental process, personal data is collected from property owners, prospective tenants, and tenants, to the extent necessary for the process or for rental agreements. By providing personal data, the data subjects consent to the processing of their data. Personal data of prospective tenants is deleted upon completion of the rental process, unless the process results in a rental agreement or the data subject consents to the use of their personal data for a future rental process.

2.6 List of Prospective Tenants
If we are currently unable to offer you a suitable property and you expressly request it, we will store your personal data in a list of interested parties so that we can contact you regarding suitable offers in the future.

For inquiries related to office space (B2B), your personal data will be stored for a maximum of 24 months based on your consent.

For inquiries regarding residential rental properties, your data will be stored for a maximum of 12 months.

You may withdraw your consent at any time. After the respective period has expired or upon withdrawal of consent, your data will be deleted, provided there are no legal retention requirements.

2.7 Events
Personal data from registrations for and participation in events that we organize will be deleted after 2 years.

2.8 Credit Reports
To the extent necessary for our services, we incorporate credit reports from the provider “Schweiz. Verband Creditreform Gen” into our decisions (e.g., for rental purposes). To obtain a self-report, data subjects should contact info@alpine-immo.ch directly.

3. Cooperation with Third Parties

We collaborate with external partners to provide our services. A prerequisite for this collaboration is that the data processors handle data in compliance with the DSG or the GDPR. The disclosure of personal data to cooperation partners takes place exclusively for the purpose of fulfilling the services disclosed here and only to the extent necessary for that purpose.

For the management of real estate, we engage property managers who process or collect personal data on our behalf and transmit it to us. These service providers are based in Switzerland.

For the maintenance and management of our IT infrastructure, we engage IT service providers who process personal data on our behalf. This service provider is based in Switzerland.

Our service providers and cooperation partners, who act on our behalf, are bound to us by appropriate data processing agreements.

Data processing servers may be located, and data processors may be based, outside of Switzerland or the European Union/European Economic Area.

If personal data is transferred to countries without an adequate level of data protection (e.g., to the U.S.), we ensure an adequate level of data protection through appropriate safeguards in accordance with Art. 16 of the DSG and Art. 46 of the GDPR. This is achieved in particular by entering into the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. Technical and Organizational Measures

4.1 General
To protect the data we manage against manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorized access in accordance with the current state of the art, we employ modern technical security measures and continuously improve them.

4.2 Data Backups
For data security purposes, we regularly create backups of our business data, which are stored on data storage media and cloud services in Switzerland. The frequency of these backups is based on relevant recommendations.
