Welcome to Centre Esplanade

Located in the heart of Biel, Centre Esplanade is our newest self-developed building complex. Right next to a group of existing buildings, several new buildings have been added to the site. Completed in 2023, the complex hosts a mix of residential and commercial spaces. With its striking architecture, the area not only makes a strong urban statement but also becomes a new point of attraction in Biel’s city center thanks to its dynamic mix of uses. Well connected and with its own underground car park, the new residential and commercial location near the Kongresshaus Biel meets every need.

Situated directly beside the Biel Congress Centre, the new building at Alexander-Schöni-Strasse 18/18a forms the final component of the Centre Esplanade development, completing the overall project. The building is leased exclusively as a single-tenant property to the retirement residence Résidence du Ruschli.

Architecture

The five-storey building is constructed using a skeletal structural system. Thanks to its large window openings, the building has a modern and functional appearance.

Floors

The floor layouts can be designed flexibly. The entrance is located on the ground floor and the "belétage" of the retirement home half a floor higher. The upper floors contain the rooms, common areas, and ancillary rooms of the residence. The rooms are designed to meet today's high standards and are almost hotel standard.

Building systems

Like the rest of the Esplanade development, this building is connected to the district heating and cooling network, which makes it possible to generate energy in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. The photovoltaic system installed on the roof makes a significant contribution to environmental protection and sustainable energy generation.

Even from the outside, the building appears inviting and contemporary. The architecture elegantly echoes the exterior design language on the inside. Upon entering the building, an atmosphere of warmth and generosity unfolds. High-quality materials characterize the interior, and carefully selected colors ensure a sense of well-being and timeless elegance.

The rooms in the residence are generously proportioned and feature a high standard of finish. The restaurant forms the heart of the building.
